EPS Mini Conference Feb 2025
Monday February 17, 2025 8:15am - 11:15am CST
In this session, we will examine the rapidly evolving landscape of Generative AI as it relates to
K-12 education, shedding light on both its powerful capabilities and inherent limitations. We’ll
explore real-world examples of how AI can enrich teaching and learning and even enhance our
instructional goals, while also addressing concerns related to academic misconduct, assessment
integrity, and potential learning loss. By offering practical strategies, design principles, and best
practices, this session aims to equip you with the confidence and know-how to begin integrating
AI responsibly into your work as a teacher and in your teaching.

The session will include three main segments:
 Introduction to Generative AI and where we are now
 Addressing anxieties (academic misconduct, assessments, learning loss, etc.)
 Pedagogy, Design, and Practical Use (for teachers and for teaching)

Access the full whitepaper here: https://bit.ly/theological-education-and-ai

Intersections is a learning and human formation company focused on the frontier of learning, work, and expertise. Here I focus especially on the future of learning and work as it is reshaped by the emergence and acceleration of artificial intelligence. My work at the Bonhoeffer Institute focuses on the intersections of religion, trauma, and the development of theology and practice, particularly how experiences of trauma shape and misshape people and communities in real time and across longer historical trajectories.
